Ways to Wear Cream Eyeshadows

Cream shadows can be very intimidating and hard to work with, especially if you are a makeup novice but once you read these tips and tricks, you'll be a definite pro.

Primer
Cream eyeshadows can work really well as a base for either powder shadows or other cream eyeshadows; a simple colour like the MAC Pain Pot in Bare Study or Soft Ochre is great for a very neutral look for day or night. By applying this base, it increases the intensity of whatever you choose to place over the top and makes it last a whole lot longer.

Lid
The main use of these are obviously to be applied all over the lid for shadow - they have a great lasting power when applied so there is no need to worry about them budging or creasing throughout the day. They also blend effortlessly  but you've got make sure you work quickly before dry! This is a great option for those who are in a hurry and need a 'grab and go' option.

Liner
Use a darker shade to add definition to the eyes - most cream eyeshadows have a great creamy consistency so it's easy to apply. Grab an liner brush and use it just like you would with a gel eyeliner. I find that the Maybelline Colour Tattoo Eye Shadows are great for doing this as they aren't to harsh and blend beautifully, creating a smokey effect.

Cream eyeshadows are an easy way to create definition to your eyes with not a lot of effort, it's something you can't go wrong with, which you'll love at first use.
